A lot of local chess activities as we come to the end of Summer:
The MVL Simul at the Bridgeport Open
Tomorrow's New Britain Summer Open at Wickham Park
Next Tuesday's "It's About Time" Lecture by FM Rick Bauer
Faithful participant Tom Zissu finally played a rated game last Tuesday
Any other chess topics are fair game
See you then?

GAME OF THE WEEK, by Alan Lasser
In a late round game, this sacrificial variation of the Two Knight’s Defense was a big factor in determining the eventual winner of the tournament. The eighteen year old Champion of India, Arjun Erigaisi, collected a pawn and the exchange from his opponent. The good news is that the line is considered to be theoretically equal, the bad news was that it put Ray Robson on the attack.
